COVID-19

Things have gotten real. Last night news dropped that the first case of COVID-2019 in Oregon is in the same county we are in.
Now we have to deal with the mental gymnastics of trying not to panic during a situation that we want to panic about. Helping others not to panic is very difficult. You have to realize it is out of your ability to control anything about this. You can take precautions but if it is as spreadable as is being reported the only logical conclusion you can come to is: I and most of the people around me will contract COVID-19.

I recently inherited a McIntosh home audio system. It’s worth more than I would ever imagine spending on something like this. However, it is incredibly impressive in how it performs.
Now I need to learn more about how it works. What is a preamplifier? What is the difference between volume and gain? How do I fully take advantage of a system like this? Lots to learn.
My first inclination was to sell the equipment because it is so valuable.

I come across these ultra high-end massage chairs every few years. Either friends who own one or because its available to try at a store.
Some ulta-expensive massage chairs They are really fun to experience, not only because the massage feels good, but also because the engineering of these chairs is incredible. They seem to have the goal of manipulating every part of your body possible. My favorite is always the arms.

Hospitals are terrible places of waiting. Nothing is fast, everyone is waiting. It is incredible that they function at the speed they do but there it still is a fundamentally broken system.
Here is what happened tonight:
Arrived at ER Checked in with woman in office Waited 1 hour in waiting room Moved to small ER room Saw doctor briefly enough for him to order labs and x-rays Waited 30-45 mins for x-ray X-ray took 30-45 mins Waited 1 more hour in ER room Nurse begins admissions process Once a room is assigned transportation will be called… That is 4.
